Most things around Buckeye Lake do cost you money, but not the good stuff. Since it's free go ahead and create an account today. (we do not share any info with anyone)(spam accounts will be deleted)

Having an on-line meeting place is cool for the people around our lake. Our own little place on the web to comunicate with other people in the area. Don't you think it's about time?

Registration is very easy, quick and you are automatically logged-in, ready to post a classified, blog or whatever you want.
*  To register, Click "quick registration" in the Login/register block to the left of the page.
*   Fill in the form, the capcha and click the "create account" button at the bottom of the page.
After you click that button, you will see your users' menu on the left with your user name.

NO, you can vote on polls, create polls, post events, links, comments, write letters, forum topics and five-star rating without registering. 'how cool is that'

However, If you post as a Guest, you can not edit your content. You have to register to have editing power.

To post an AD, you do have to register, but it only takes 30 seconds to register and you are logged in immediately.
If you are promoting a business and you work for that business, you must register or your content will be deleted.

Register on the website before posting any advertisements or promotions other than event calendar listings.

Any person, business or organization located in the Buckeye Lake Region or Central Ohio can advertise on the site. If you are a fisherman or boater on Buckeye Lake, you are invited to advertise on the site as well as long as it is a Central Ohio area business or event. If you are selling your boat, post a classified ad and include a working phone number or e-mail.

Have a look in the Classifieds, Clubs, Restaurants & Bars, Real Estate,  Churches, Grocery, or Business Directories for ads. There are user_pages for business as well.

If you don't see your ad, just Login and make one.

  Anyone can do it !     Write a letter to have your say about local and National issues and concerns.
..You can NOT be logged in to write a letter..
Look on the Quick Links menu and choose Write a letter. Then fill in a title and write your letter. There is a place to add your name, but it is not required. Certain issues are sensitive and the person that writes the letter may not want the visibility. Fill in your email address, it will not be visible to anyone....it is only used if you need the letter edited. Click the save button. All done..

Yes, you can have an email address your_name@buckeyelake.org . Please send a contact to admin to have it set up. Please include the name you want and the password you want.  You will be set up within 24 hours at the most.

We have some Avatars avaialble for you to use in your account section. Goto your account page from your members menu and click the "Edit" tab, then go down the page till you see them, and choose one. OR you can upload a photo right above where the avatrs are.  If you have any trouble with it, contact admin. 

Login and Click on "messages" towards the bottom of your members menu.  Click the tab "Write new message", In the "To" box, start typeing the user name and the system will show a list of users with that name, and choose one or just type the user name. Then fill in the form.

When that member loggs in, they will see a notice at the top of the page telling them they have a message waiting.
If the member is logged in when you send the message, they will see the number of messages on their members menu..   Messages(1).. or Messages(2).. depending on how many there are waiting.

Login and locate your users' menu over at the left and choose  "My Blog".  At the top of the page click the link "Post a new blog Entry". Fill in a title for this post, write a one word or 2 word tag separated by a comma in the space provided. Now write your post as long or short as you want.        please remeber to always click the save button.

"Login", goto your users menu on the left and click "My Blog".  At the top of your Blog click the link "Post new blog entry" and create the new post.

You will like this.       Login, goto your account page, click the  "My Contributions" tab and click the item in the list that you want to view or edit.     When you are viewing the article or blog or whatever.....you will see an "EDIT" tab at the top...just click edit and go, go , go... Please remeber the "SAVE" button

Login and goto the page with the item you want to edit, click on the title, then click the edit tab at the top.

 After you Login, you will see your user's menu on the left.   Choose "create content" and then click on "Story" from the list of available entrys you can make.     You can write as much or as little as you like and edit it at any time.

Yes, you are welcome to add your link. goto the links page and click "add a link". However: you will not be able to edit the link, unless you "Login" before you create any content.
If you add a description, Please keep the Link Description to 8 or 10 words.

We can do it, but please use this service sparingly.  Send the new name you want in the contact form to the admin. The admin will make sure your content and photos will follow the new user name.

There are 2 ways to deal with this issue.
But first. Is it abuse (or) is someone using normal words to describe something?
If it is fowl language, maybe we should look at it. (the F word and a few others)
* Click the link that says "Contact" and inform the admin about it..
* Add that user to your ignore list. Then you will not see anything from that user when you are logged-in.

You can help in many ways.

• Stop by the site for a visit
• write a letter to the editor or community
• add your name and comment to the Visitors Log
• add local events to the calendar
• add your favorite link to the links page
• become a member to show your support
• add or create content on the site in the form of business directory, classified ads, blog entry's, forum topics, recipes, comments and stories.
• request new forums and categories for your use
• tell your friends and neighbors about the web site
• volunteer to be a forum moderator or website editor
• submit suggestions for the web site to the admin.
• request a group section for your group or club that needs a separate space on the site

You can donate a few bucks to help with the $30 dollar per month server fees. Every little bit helps, five bucks, ten bucks or whatever is easy for you. We are not asking for donations, but if you want to help with that we will thank you and list your name on the Website Supporters page.

We do need people to donate print advertising to promote the website.
The site is free for everyone and the admin pays for everything out of his own pocket for the benefit of our community. Believe me, If I could afford print advertizing, this text would not be here..
