I thought I would start a thread on Image editing. Some people can afford the big time photo shop stuff...But the open source community has some great options. One is GIMP, Image Manipulation Program. www.gimp.org/ There is lots of plug-ins and other goodies you can add. Gimp has full instructions on their web site and you can install the help files right into the program if you want. I use it all the time for cropping, resizing and other adjustments. But it will do just about anything you want..including getting images from your scanner.

another good....and FREE photo viewer and editor....with plugins

Hi Dave...try this one out. Irfanview  www.irfanview.com/   is an easy program to learn and it has plug-ins. This program can also play different media files like .avi,.mpeg,etc.
