I thought it would be fitting to put in a topic for Ubuntu 
The desktop and laptop operating system is working flawlessly now for 2 years of everyday use. Ubuntu is Free for all people and you have the community behind you all the way. The system is very fast and rock solid. There are over 1300 software packages to pick from, all completely free and automatically installed with an internet connection. They will even send you a "live" disc that you can try on your computer without any changes to your current system.

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04 and it is pretty neat. They fixed the mouse problems, now my nine button mouse all works! The networking is much better to. It hooked right up and talked to the other machines, I love that. Of coarse there are lots of great options and programs included with the default install.. I do like it.
The bad part... The dual monitors is still goofy and difficult to get working. In fact, I loaded windows back in the machine because of it. My cards are the ATI rage and it looks like I will need to get the Nidvia chip cards for this to work better.
I will be back to Ubuntu just as soon as I get some cards that wil work easier.
