Village of Buckeye Lake City Tax

Help. We just moved here in April. It's tax time. I called the Village Administration and was informed there is no city tax for Buckeye Lake. I don't understand. How does the city operate?

I updated the title of topic so more people might find it and add their comments. It is a good question, I have no idea what the funds the village operates from or where those funds come from.. But then, I'm on the other side of the lake.
My property taxes are way too high as it is and we are paying tax for things that have nothing to do with the operation of the twp. Which is wrong and criminal in my opinion.
